'Monstrosa' is a great plant for areas where a more narrow vertical plant with an interesting structure is needed. Pruning of side branches keeps plant more narrow and improves appearance. For more advanced gardeners Monstrosa can easily be trained in the 'Hindu Pan' style. It will grow equally well in sun or shade with foliage appearing much darker in shadier locations.
